OUR MINISTRIES

At Highland Gardens our members are devoted to God's Word and encourage you to get involved in both the spiritual and personal work of the church. These ministries are in place to meet the needs of the church and community.

Prayer Warriors

The Bible teaches us in James 5:16 that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. We have a group line that sends prayer requests to multiple members and requests are prayed for immediately by the Saints.  Additionally, we send daily morning scriptures; prayer request can be included there as well.

The Golden Saints

Members are 55 years old and up. They meet monthly to enjoy Christian fellowship through recreation, physical activity, and the sharing of God's Word. Their goal is to minister to the senior citizens in the church and the surrounding communities.

Education

We are a bible teaching congregation dedicated to providing spiritual growth through God's Word at all bible classes. We focus on all age groups, meeting twice a week to study a word from God addressing various topics. Teachers are working on having a dynamic Vacation Bible School (VBS) and a Bible Bowl for all age groups.

Youth

The Youth Workers provide the youth opportunities to grow closer to one another through spiritual, social, and service oriented projects focusing on unity. Families are encouraged to participate in various activities. They are actively involved in visiting the elderly, ministering to the senior care facility, food bank, and recreational activities.

Care/Visitation

We provide care to individual members in the congregation who are sick or shut in through calls, visits, and or cards. We make sure the immediate needs are met with special attention given in a timely manner. We also minister monthly to The Brookhollow Transitional Facility every 4th Sunday.

Community Outreach/Evangelism

Matthew 28: 18-19 states: (18)"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. (19) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you."

We are glorifying God by going into the community and spreading HIS Word. We also have a "Day of Annual Good Works" where we provide food, clothing, and spiritual food, all while encouraging individuals of the to come to Jesus and His Church. Every member is encouraged to engage in personal evangelism and "Take Your Loved One to the Doctor ("The Church") Day" to learn about The Gospel of Christ.  We also provide literature, pamphlets, and encourage those seeking to learn more about Christ to set up a personal bible classes so that they may have a chance at eternal life.
